With the rapid advancement of the Industrial Internet of Things, industrial gateways—serving as core‑board devices—have become indispensable. Some are deployed in new‑energy photovoltaic inverters, others in smart‑grid and other industrial applications, while still others play a critical role in intelligent manufacturing, making them an essential component driving the digitalization of industrial production. Renesas’ G2L chip, featuring a dual‑core Arm Cortex‑A55 subsystem with a clock speed of up to 1.2 GHz, delivers robust edge‑computing capabilities. It also integrates dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, up to seven serial interfaces, two CAN FD channels, and a rich array of communication interfaces, fully meeting the demands of complex connectivity requirements.
