The Lantern Festival, one of China’s traditional festivals, is also known as the Shangyuan Festival, Little New Year, Yuanxi, or the Lantern Festival, and falls on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month each year. The first lunar month is called “Yuan” in the lunar calendar, and since ancient times, “night” was referred to as “xiao.” As the fifteenth day of the first lunar month marks the first full-moon night of the year, it came to be known as the Lantern Festival.
On February 15, Shangluo Electronics held a themed event titled “Taste Tangyuan, Solve Lantern Riddles, Celebrate the Lantern Festival.” During the event, colleagues from the Xincheng campus enjoyed tangyuan, hung lanterns, and solved riddles, fostering a spirit of proactive dedication to work while enriching employees’ cultural lives, showcasing their individual talents, and creating a warm and harmonious workplace. These efforts have further strengthened the company’s cohesion and sense of unity.
