Remembering Our Roots While Drinking Water: A Tribute to Jiaotong University | Sunlord Donates RMB 1.3 Million in Honor of the University’s 130th Anniversary

March 28, Shanghai Jiao Tong University “With united strength, we reach far; in a century of prosperity, our home ushers in a new era.” The alumni donation signing ceremony and the grand reopening of Shengzhai—Alumni House—were solemnly held on the Xuhui Campus. President Ding Kuiling of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice Secretary of the University Party Committee Hu Weiwei, Full-time Deputy Director of the University Affairs Committee Zhang Ansheng, head of the Sheng Xuanhuai family Sheng Yufeng, representatives of donating alumni, and delegates from supporting organizations both inside and outside the university gathered to attend this momentous occasion, which embodies the university’s storied history and the deep bonds of its alumni community, and to witness the revitalization of Shengzhai and the significant milestone of alumni uniting in support of the university. The ceremony was presided over by Gu Xiyao, Director of the Alumni General Association Office and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association. 
Sha Hongzhi, a 1991 undergraduate alumnus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, president of the Nanjing Alumni Association, and director of Nanjing Shangluo Electronics Co., Ltd., donated RMB 1.3 million on-site on behalf of the company.

Returning in Glory to Our Alma Mater—Uniting Hearts and Pooling Strength

At the ceremony, alumnus Sha Hongzhi, together with five distinguished alumni—Chen Shaobo, Zhu Yousong, Hou Bo, and Zhang Jianzheng—each donated RMB 1.3 million to their alma mater. 
Wang Yushen, Director of the Development and Liaison Office and Secretary-General of the Education Development Foundation, signed donation agreements separately with five alumni. Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hu Weiwei, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Zhang Ansheng, Executive Deputy Director of the University Affairs Committee, jointly witnessed the signing ceremonies and presented donation certificates as well as crystal thank-you plaques—symbolizing the spirit of “remembering one’s source when drinking water”—to representatives of the donating alumni. 
From his days as a student on campus to his deep engagement in the industry, and from personal growth to corporate development, alumnus Sha Hongzhi has always remained deeply committed to his alma mater’s progress and to nurturing the bonds of school‑mate camaraderie. This donation to support his alma mater’s development is both a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the education he received and a vivid demonstration of Shangluo Electronics’ dedication to corporate social responsibility and its commitment to fulfilling its role in the times.

In his address, Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, extended, on behalf of the university, his highest respect and sincere gratitude to all alumni donors. As an electronics industry professional who graduated from Jiaotong University, Alumnus Sha Hongzhi has led Shangluo Electronics in深耕 the electronics industry for many years, steadfastly upholding integrity as the foundation of its business and leveraging expertise to empower the sector, thereby contributing to the high‑quality, high‑efficiency development of China’s electronics industry. 
This support for our alma mater is not only an honor but also a profound responsibility. Moving forward, Shangluo Electronics will remain true to its original aspiration of “remembering the source when drinking water,” steadfastly upholding its mission to serve the nation through industry.
