Remembering the Source with Gratitude, A Gift to SJTU | Sunlord Electronics Donates 1.3 Million Yuan in Honor of SJTU’s 130th Anniversary

On March 28, The Alumni Donation Signing & Grand Reopening Ceremony of Sheng Residence · Alumni House, themed "Uniting for a New Journey on the 130th Anniversary, Embarking on a New Chapter at the Century-old Sheng Residence", was solemnly held at the Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. 

Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hu Weiwei, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, Zhang Ansheng, Full-time Deputy Director of the University Council, Sheng Yufeng, Head of the Sheng Xuanhuai Family, representatives of donating alumni, and representatives of supporting institutions from both on and off campus gathered together to attend this grand event that carries the university’s history and alumni affection, and witnessed the important moment of the renewal of Sheng Residence and alumni’s joint support for the university. The ceremony was presided over by Gu Xiyao, Director of the General Alumni Association Office and Secretary-General of the Alumni Association. 
Sha Hongzhi, a 1991 undergraduate alumnus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, President of the Nanjing Alumni Association, and Chairman of Nanjing Sunlord Electronics Co., Ltd., donated 1.3 million yuan on behalf of Nanjing Sunlord Electronics Co., Ltd. at the event.

Returning to Alma Mater with Honor • Uniting Together with One Heart

At the ceremony, alumnus Sha Hongzhi, together with Chen Shaobo, Zhu Yousong, Hou Bo and Zhang Jianzheng, five distinguished alumni, each donated 1.3 million yuan to their alma mater. 
Wang Yushen, Director of the Office of External Relations and Secretary-General of the Education Development Foundation, signed donation agreements with the five alumni respectively. Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hu Weiwei, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Zhang Ansheng, Full-time Deputy Director of the University Council, witnessed the signing ceremony together and presented donation certificates as well as crystal gratitude trophies inscribed with the spirit of “Drinking water from the source, thinking of its origin” to the representatives of the donating alumni. 
From studying on campus to forging ahead in the industry, and from personal growth to corporate development, alumnus Sha Hongzhi has always cared about the development of his alma mater and carried forward the bond of alumni fellowship. This donation to support the construction of his alma mater is not only a grateful return for the education and nurturing of his alma mater, but also a vivid reflection of Sunlord Electronics fulfilling its social responsibilities and demonstrating its sense of mission in the new era.

Remember the Source, Reach Far • Shoulder the Mission of Industry

In his address, Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, extended profound respect and sincere gratitude on behalf of Shanghai Jiao Tong University to all the donating alumni. He stated that the five alumni have not only devoted themselves to their respective industries but have also long remained deeply committed to the development of their alma mater and wholeheartedly supported alumni affairs, embodying the SJTU spirit of gratitude and sense of responsibility with concrete actions.  The generous donations from the alumni enterprises represent a sincere return to the nurturing of their alma mater and a heartfelt tribute to the 130th anniversary glory of SJTU, injecting strong confidence into the university as it strives toward a new journey. 
As an electronics industry professional who graduated from SJTU, alumnus Sha Hongzhi has led Sunlord Electronics to deeply engage in the electronics sector for many years.  Adhering to integrity in business and empowering the industry through professionalism, he has contributed to the high-quality and efficient development of China’s electronics industry.
Supporting the development of his alma mater is both an honor and a responsibility.  Moving forward, Sunlord Electronics will continue to uphold the original aspiration of “drinking water from the source”, stay committed to the mission of serving the country through industry, and forge steadily ahead on the path of scientific and technological innovation, industrial development and social responsibility, striving to repay the alma mater and society with better achievements.
