Maruwa Corporation is primarily engaged in the development, manufacturing, and sales of electronic applications, industrial ceramics, and electronic components. MARUWA originates from a pottery family with a lineage extending back to the Edo period (early nineteenth century). Starting with the manufacture of Japanese tableware in the Taisho era, and after the war in 1946, represented by Yoshiro Kobe, a limited partnership, Maruwa, was established in Kaminokuchi-cho, Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, for the purpose of manufacturing and selling ceramics. In 1960, the company entered the then rapidly growing and expanding electronic parts market (special ceramics for communication equipment, ceramics for fixed resistors). Based on its dedication to ceramics and its spirit of continuous development and innovation, the MARUWA Group continues to uphold this tradition.
